8 Bungalow Resort 100m from the sea

Below was written a few years ago . Shortly after, unfortunately , the Proprietor died and the Resort has since been closed. It appears though that the grounds have been maintained.

This lovely resort of 8 fully furnished bungalows comprises 2 flat plateaus 100 metres from the sea and has probably the most beautiful view in Suan Luang overlooking the Bay. On the top plateau are 4 different sized Bungalows which all have aircon and bathrooms and sleep between 2 and 6 people. There is also a communal kitchen and dining area for anyone wishing to self cater. The Owners state that occupancy between December and April is between 90 and 100 %. Although the Resort is young it is already receiving repeat business. Most of the clients are residents of Thailand – both Thai and Expats. Often they have their own cars, but pick ups from the local bus and train stations are arranged as well as rental of motor bikes and cars for local transport or sightseeing. Those wishing to self cater find plenty of shops, markets, mini markets and 7/11 in Bangsaphan Yai which is in the very south of the Province of Prachuap Khiri Khan. There are also at least 6 Banks and even more ATM.
The existing bungalows only use a very small proportion of the land on the upper plateau and there is a huge opportunity for further expansion of accommodation, restaurant, swimming pool, Jacuzzis and other amenities on both upper and lower plateaus. With a relatively small investment in extra facilities and good marketing it is likely return on capital would be much enhanced.
At present the Bangkok to Chumphon railway, and eventually further south to Hat Yai, is being modernized and it is expected that travelling times will be considerably reduced. The beaches of Suan Luang are almost unused, so there is a strong chance that tourism will greatly expand in the near future. Chumphon and Hua Hin airports are 70 and 200 km away respectively and it is anticipated that flights to them from Bangkok and other cities in Thailand will increase as well as possible flights from abroad.
